ATON Computing has a long history of providing computer support to over 25 trade and professional associations. In the beginning, ATON developed and implemented custom-written membership management programs for smaller associations. As our clients grew in size we began implementing off-the-shelf software. Our familiarity with industry leaders such as iMIS, Smith Abbot and MEI enabled ATON to efficiently assist our clients in the selection of new software. In addition to managing the software implementation, we also provided data conversion services when necessary. ATON also provided support for our clients’ infrastructure. We worked with the software vendors to determine the necessary hardware/software platform for the membership programs being installed. Where appropriate, we acquired and installed new computers and provided the training necessary to enable the staff to utilize the new systems. Finally, we continued to provide support after the systems had been installed. During the past ten years, ATON Computing has helped a number of companies in the construction industry integrate their hardware and software. We have worked with general contractors, subs, architects and building supply manufacturers/distributors. In each case, we were able to assist our clients attain their computing goals. ATON has experience with some of the industry-leading software packages including Timberline for accounting and estimating, Expedition for project management plus HCSS for cost estimating and Bidfax for sending out bid requests. At one large general contractor we were able to assist them in integrating all phases of their information technology plan. We designed and installed a local area network for internal use. We worked with their software vendors to ensure that the programs in use worked together. We implemented the technology that enabled remote job sites to access project information over the Internet. ATON has worked with several companies in the Financial Services Industry. For the smaller companies, we installed local area networks to share Internet access and industry-specific software throughout the office. For our larger clients, we have designed and installed the computer infrastructure necessary to support a high-volume trading company. During the process, we worked with Internet service providers to ensure a continuous connection to the parent company. We worked to integrate the financial reporting software with various other packages that enabled the broker to provide the information his clients required. |
